On September 27–28, the Department of Education and Training of Lang Son Province, in collaboration with the Center for Family Health and Community Development (CFC Vietnam), organized four training sessions under the AI Ready ASEAN project. This program aims to equip teachers with foundational knowledge and essential skills to apply artificial intelligence (AI) in teaching effectively, creatively, and responsibly.
The training covered key topics such as:
-
What AI is and how it works
-
Ethical and responsible AI use
-
Practical ways to integrate AI into lesson plans
-
Hands-on experience with AI-powered tools such as virtual assistants, slide design software, and AI-based video creation platforms.
Remarkably, despite being held over the weekend, more than 2,300 teachers—from preschool to high school—participated enthusiastically, arriving as early as 6:30 AM and staying beyond the end time. The sessions were filled with vibrant energy as teachers actively asked questions, engaged in group discussions, completed surveys, and practiced directly with the tools introduced.
Following the training, each teacher is expected to deliver at least one lesson on AI to their students—an important first step toward spreading AI literacy among the younger generation in Lang Son.
