The success of the training in Lang Son marks a significant milestone in the journey to expand ‘AI Ready ASEAN’ – a program dedicated to building digital capacity and AI skills for the Vietnamese people, particularly the younger generation
The program is part of the “Hour of Code” campaign under the “AI Ready ASEAN” project, implemented in September and October 2025. Its goal is to help teachers approach fundamental AI concepts and apply them to teaching in an engaging and easy-to-understand manner. After two months, over 13,000 teachers from preschool to high school levels across Lang Son province participated in the training.
The training sessions featured various hands-on activities and exciting experiences, including:
Understanding Machine Learning: Exploring how computers learn from data.
“AI for Oceans” Activity: Training AI to identify and categorize plastic waste through a practical simulation.
Exploring AI Bias: Discussing the ethical implications and responsibilities of applying technology in daily life.
The program not only enhances teachers’ understanding of AI but also inspires them to bring tech-based experiential activities into the classroom. This contributes to fostering digital thinking and digital citizenship among students.
